chinese rocks

A marvellous idea for a font that was inspired by stenciled lettering on imported merchandise containers. Chinese Rocks looks like it was a hand cut rubber stamp, used about a million times. Uneven line thickness and odd stem widths combine with sharp corners to create the effect of letters cut out with a box knife in a hurry. It ain’t pretty but it sure gets the message across.

The Regular and Bold styles have 3 widths; condensed, regular and expanded all available with italics. In addition, there are 3 bonus styles;
- Fat; unapologetic about its weight; it crushes the rest.
- Shaded; hiding in the shadows, it’s modest but it won’t hide from you.
- Wide Shaded; who knew beefy and shy could be so appealing?
You want the look of a cut-rate, hand-made stencil? Chinese Rocks delivers and on time! Try it on labels, packaging and signs. You won’t believe how good ‘bad’ can look!
